About Us

Who we are

HelloBseb is an independent editorial project focused on one specific job: helping US citizens figure out the visa requirements, fees, and paperwork for their next international trip. We’re based in the United States, we write for American travelers, and every guide is written and edited by a real person who has either held a US passport abroad or worked closely with someone who does.

We started HelloBseb because most visa information online is either out of date or deliberately confusing. Government sites use formal legal language. Third-party visa processors bury the real fee three pages deep and add a “service charge” that doubles the price. Generic travel blogs copy each other and nobody updates the facts when rules change. We wanted a single place where an American traveler could go, in five minutes, and know what they actually need to do before their flight.

What we cover

Our editorial coverage is organized around the destinations that US passport holders ask about most:

  • Schengen & Europe — the Schengen Area rules, ETIAS, the UK’s ETA, Ireland, and country-by-country guides for Europe.
  • Asia Visas — India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, and everything in between.
  • Americas & Caribbean — Brazil’s reinstated e-visa, Mexico’s FMM card, Canada’s eTA for connections, and the Caribbean nations that do and don’t require visas for Americans.
  • Middle East & Africa — Turkey, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Kenya, South Africa, and others.
  • Visa Basics — the concepts every US traveler should understand before they fly: passport validity, visa vs. entry stamp, what to do at the port of entry, STEP enrollment, and how to recover from a refused boarding.

How we research

Every guide on HelloBseb cites primary sources. That means: the destination country’s official embassy or consulate in the United States, the country’s e-visa portal if one exists, published fee schedules, and the US Department of State’s country-specific travel information pages. We cross-check between at least two sources before publishing and note the date the guide was last verified at the top of the article.

When rules change — and they change often, especially for places like Brazil, China, and the UK — we update the affected guides within a reasonable window and stamp them with a revised date. If we can’t verify the current state of a rule, we say so plainly and link to the original source so you can check for yourself.

What we are not

HelloBseb is not a visa agency. We do not process applications, we do not collect fees on behalf of anyone, and we do not have any affiliation with any government. We are not lawyers and we do not provide legal or immigration advice. For the narrow set of situations where you genuinely need an immigration attorney or an accredited visa service — refusals, overstays, multi-year residency planning — we will say so and tell you what kind of professional to look for.

If you spot an error on the site or have a question about a destination we haven’t covered yet, please get in touch.
